Johnny Depp, Amber Heard trial: Elon Musk talks about the former

Elon Musk has 13 words to say about the high-profile trial of his ex-girlfriend Amber Heard against Johnny Depp.

Billionaire Elon Musk has thrown his weight into the legal battle his ex-girlfriend Amber Heard has with Johnny Depp, as the jury begins deliberations after closing arguments were presented in court.

The Tesla founder, who allegedly dated Heard when she was married to Depp, tweeted about the trial of Hollywood superstars on Saturday.

“Hope they move forward. He tweeted.

Depp has accused the Tesla and Space X founder of having a three-way affair with models Cara Delevingne and Heard at his Los Angeles home while he was away from filming, an allegation the billionaire denied.

Musk also became a moot point at the trial when Depp’s ex-agent Christian Carino took the stand.

Carino, who was previously engaged to Lady Gaga, was asked if Musk and Heard were dating in 2016.

“I don’t know if they are dating,” he said, “but they definitely did spend some time together.”

Heard and Musk met on the set of Robert Rodriguez’s 2013 movie Machete Kills, but claimed they were nothing more than friends until they finalized their divorce in 2016 and 2017.

Rumors flared up again in August 2017 that their alleged year-long marital romance had ended.

Musk confirmed the speculation shortly after, telling fans that the breakup was amicable.

“Just to clear up some press storms this weekend, even though Amber and I broke up, we’re still friends, we’re still close and we love each other,” Musk wrote on Twitter.

He later added, “Long-distance relationships when both partners have intense work commitments are always tough, but who knows what the future holds.”

Musk’s tweet comes as the outcome of the trial is now in the hands of the jurors, who began deliberations after hearing explosive closing arguments in court.

Lawyers for Depp, 58, and Heard, 36, filed their final appeals to the jury Friday, concluding the six-week trial between the famous couple in Fairfax County, Virginia.

Depp’s team argued that the actor was a victim of what they said were Heard’s false allegations of physical, sexual and psychological abuse, ruining his career and reputation.

In turn, Heard’s team dubbed Depp a “monster” who not only abused his ex-wife but continued a smear campaign after she filed for divorce.
