High school students observed a minute’s silence and released 21 sympathy balloons for the victims of the Ovaldi shootings at their graduation in Roxprings, Texas, on May 27. Marangly Lopez told Storyful that she recorded the video while attending her brothers-in-law’s graduation party from Rocksprings High School. She said, “Those balloons were launched into the sky to remember the beautiful and young souls who disappeared early on Tuesday.” Rocksprings is 68 miles, or about an hour’s drive from Ovaldi.
