Residents queue for clean water as rainy season floods hit the Indian state of Assam

Residents of Silchar in the Indian state of Assam queued for clean water on June 28, after the state was hit by severe flooding. Footage released by Oxfam India shows people waiting to access a water filter installed by the organisation. According to the Assam Disaster Management Authority, 12 people died due to floods and landslides on June 29, bringing the death toll to 151 since the rainy season began in April.
