Social media posts indicate that Dr. Charlie Teo is engaged to his girlfriend Tracy Griffiths

Sydney neurosurgeon Charlie Teo may be swapping out his scrubs for a wedding suit shortly after revealing social media posts that hinted he had recently been engaged to girlfriend Tracy Griffiths.

The couple met when Ms. Griffith sought expert advice from Dr. Teo in 2009, although they didn’t start dating until 11 years later after the brain surgeon separated from his wife.

Wedding rumors followed the well-known surgeon and his former patient for more than a year, but now it seems there may be some truth in the whispers.

Ms Griffiths, a vegan activist and fitness influencer, has used revealing hashtags in the couple’s photos to hint at the change in their relationship status.

The former model has consistently tagged pictures of her and Dr. Teo with references to “#myhero” and “#mybestfriend” during their relationship, but in May upgraded the hashtag to “#myfiance” and “#ilovemyfiance.”

The finds were buried in a number of hashtags attached to photos of Mrs. Griffiths at the Charlie Tew Foundation ball over two months ago.

Hints of engagement continued in June with photos of the dressed couple attending a Great Gastby themed birthday party.

The photos are captioned from the night using the same hashtags of the fiancé and a nod to Dr. Teo’s paper clothes.

After dropping the baffling suggestions, Griffith has remained silent on the subject of her relationship.

The animal activist has not posted any more photos of the couple on her social media accounts and there are no revealing hashtags anymore.

Neither she nor Dr. Teo responded to requests for comment on the post.

The exciting hints come as Dr. Teo backs away from his job as a neurosurgeon after imposing conditions on his medical registration last year following complaints from colleagues.

In August 2021, the NSW Medical Council banned Dr Teo from performing high-risk surgeries without written consent from a second independent neurosurgeon.

The restrictions will remain in place until next month.

Before reviewing his medical practices, Dr. Teo built his reputation by working on people with incurable or inoperable brain cancer.
